To name things wrongly is to add to the misfortune of the world.

do you believe Camus? I don’t not for one hot second therefore in 2020 I will recommence naming the full moons

I had a friend in high school who LOVED Camus. And Baudelaire. In his defense, he WAS gay in the south, was way too intelligent, and no one in the world understood him. He is now still a sort of friend of mine and sometimes calls me to tell me about the latest arrests of his adult adopted son who is crack addict. It breaks my heart but there's not much I can do about it.
So yeah, please give the moons all the names you want to. And who's to say that they aren't the actual proper names anyway?
I name all the things everything I see regularly I have always done. I love knowing the Latin names for flowers and trees and the actual names of animals but if I see the crabby lady with the fancy hats every day walking her dog at my beacon and she just scowls at me she will forever be the Crabby Lady With The Fancy Hats.
Beach not beacon WHY AUTO CORRECT WHAT WERE YOU THINKING???
I love your moon naming project, Rebecca. But about that Camus quote, I often think about how naming sometimes says much more about the namer than the named. Of course I'm a Cranky Old Man Who Worries Too Much.
Anything we do in a relatively public forum like this says more about us than I ever want to imagine. It is quite a fractal. I wanted to name it a pickle but fractal is a much prettier word. X
