Actual Island County Police Blotter:
Someone reported a large pet pig at his gate on Loganberry Lane.

I have so many questions about this police activity but especially the “possible cougar”
Someone reported a large pet pig at his gate on Loganberry Lane.
Two different callers reported a possible cougar Monday night in Camaloch. One said it was walking down MacBrae Drive; the other saw it near the community pool.
A rooster was hanging out at the state park for a few days.

"Possible cougar." Is that like...possibly lion? Could be a panther? Maybe a tiger?
Bears are the scary animals of choice where we're staying. Jessie's seen a whole bunch of them.
Quite possibly a tiger. There are a ton of bears here. They like to swim across The Saratoga Passage which is between here and Whidbey Island to take advantage of Whidbey’s fine dining establishments. Last night I realized it was the first time in a literal year that I had gone out to dinner.
We often have "possible cougar" sitings at the college (near Gresham, Or) and I have the same reaction: POSSIBLE cougar? or what, lady in a fur coat mucking about at the creek?
I know!!! Ohhh the mysteries of Oregon are deep and uncharted and make me miss my dad. Your book came today yum. Can’t wait to dig in tomorrow.XO
Happy birthday dear Rebecca!

We had a "coyote on a leash" sighting in our bizarre citified neighborhood report the other day. A person walking a coyote. It was the weirdest thing because it was asked in such innocence, such seeming oblivion to the weirdness. Like this: "I believe I just spotted someone walking a coyote on Dunsmuir and 5th. Did anyone else notice this?"
Roosters, and cougars, and pigs. Oh, my!
Thank you Barbara you are all over my house you know and I look at the little purple box alter above my kitchen counter and see you.

Elizabeth WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE? Remember when Siegfried or Roy got eaten by his beloved pet tiger? I was so happy. You know that tiger plotted his revenge for a long time. I suspect coyote on a leash is doing the same.

LKD this Island is full of wild life. I’ve had deer in my yard everyday this summer. So far no fires. I hope it lasts. Hello!
